We Are the Gulf Shores Lions
The Gulf Shores Lions Club has been serving its community since its inception in 1948. The Lions are your friends and neighbors volunteering to help the visually impaired as well as reaching out to those residents who are underprivileged or in need of our help.
Membership in is open to individuals who are of legal majority, of good moral character, and have a strong interest in serving their community through volunteer work.
As members of Lions International, we dedicate ourselves to serving our communities and addressing global needs. We volunteer our time to support vision care through eyeglass donations and screenings, contribute to disaster relief, promote environmental sustainability, and empower youth with educational programs. We organize and fundraise for local projects, collaborate with Lions Clubs worldwide, and live by our motto, “We Serve,” fostering fellowship and creating a positive impact wherever we go.
Lions serve in many capacities and at whatever level they are able. We have somewhere for you to serve however you can. We are retirees and we are working professionals, and everything in between.
We normally meet the second Wednesday of the month at 12pm and the last Tuesday of the month at 5:30pm. Our normal location is the Gulf Shores Activity Center.
